Bigfoot habituation is the blog I didn’t want to write.
Saying goodbye to people you know is never an easy thing. When a Bigfooter passes away, it feels like losing family.
I met Sonya Zohar so long ago, I forget the circumstances. I know it was in Washington State somewhere, and it was at a Bigfoot lecture, lightly attended. What struck me immediately was her personality. She was a nice, kind, earthy girl. Not to the point of being a pushover. She was wise and independent.
You can tell so much about a person from their bookshelf. Sonya believed in science. We could talk classic physics, mechanical physics, quantum physics, you name it; she consumed it all. In fact, one of her projects was a “unified theory of everything” which was her spin on similar theories described by scientists and metaphysical theorists.
She was unexpectedly popularized through one of Les Stroud’s digital productions. I recall that she was the meditating mindspeak girl. I remember that part because I thought it was too showy, something she ordinarily would not do in front of a camera. My guess is she was talked into it since Les needed a meditating mindspeak girl for that particular shoot.
On the opposite end of the mindspeak spectrum, she wrote a children’s book called “Sasquatch Sonya.” It’s about her experience habituating at least one presumed Bigfoot. Habituation is about establishing two-way communication of some kind with an alleged Bigfoot. Maybe you leave food and they leave you a rock or twig formations; sometimes even a marble or something that doesn’t belong in the forest.
The unique aspect to her research was Bigfoot was both an entity and a physical being. It gets a bit edgy. The entity leaves no doubt about its interest in her, leaving her more and more rocks and other gifts from nature.
Most people would want to get away from that. Sonya fended it off like she was swatting flies. You can’t get rid of them but sooner or later it will decide you’re not worth the bother.
I have a theory after many years of knowing a few Bigfooters that have passed away, and who also had indirect contact with a presumed Bigfoot entity of some variety. I think an aspect of that interaction contributed to their respective deaths.
Mixing personal energies is not a good thing, and it’s possible it can be fatal since it affects biology. Consider it like a hack. You don’t know what non-human spirit energy can do when you interact with it. So all those people who think they’re communicating with a higher being – forget it. Even if that was true, it’s incompatible with you and it could be a steep price to pay to try and fulfill your curiosity.
These are things that the habituator doesn’t realize when they are getting involved. They find it interesting, compelling for whatever reason but it never ends well. It doesn’t have to be physical illness. It could be a psychological change or emotional. Remember, our physical bodies are made of chemicals and water. A whole lot about us is influenced by the energies around us. The electromagnetic spectrum is pretty vast and the truth is, medical science doesn’t have it all figured out. Once you go down a mindspeak path, you will change in some way.
Or Mike Paterson, who knew Sonya and the two aligned on many areas of investigation. You might know Mike as the Sasquatch Ontario guy. Yea, he did hoax Bigfoot audio to grow his YouTube audience but there was definitely paranormal activity on the property of his investigations.
We’ll talk more about Mike Paterson in a future blog. For now, consider that he most definitely was not the same person prior to walking into and creating a Bigfoot entity habituation zone.
Sometimes interaction is not anyone’s fault. The choice to continue with it, however, is a personal choice, and in my view should be avoided. Think genetics. Think healthy cellular structure, that kind of thing. You don’t know what an alleged Bigfoot is or whatever it decides it wants you to think it is or isn’t.
If the thing follows you or insists it’s your ally, then you need to dig a little deeper for useful defenses. Get rid of it. There’s nothing about it that you need in your life.
As for Sonya, I hope that she is not suffering and is at rest. Sonya was a beautiful woman. Bigfoot is not a beautiful creature.
